My family and I took a C10 EV for a test drive a few weeks ago... we liked it enough that we've ordered an REEV version. Despite all the review and commentary, I didn't find the ADAS too bingy-and-bongy... it really wasn't much different to most modern cars (though the driver attention one was a little over enthusiastic).

We took a Shark 6 for a test drive the same day, and found visibility far better in the C10... to be fair we're used to a 2013 Kia Grand Carnival.

Ride wise it was fine, but again, I'm used to a minivan. It's down a little on power compared to some other options, but more than adequate.

Other than the not-out-yet EX5 (which tow ratings have not yet been released for) it is far and away the cheapest option that needs our needs – the hardest one is needing to tow 1500kg of boat trailer (would love to consider the Sealion 6, but its only 1300kg, and the AWD Sealion 7 is just way too much money). The Model Y was the closest contender, but the C10 still coming in at nearly $10k cheaper. And going with the C10 REEV means I have no concerns about range when towing, and can still do 90+% of our driving on pure-EV.

I'm in this boat too ;) Do they have a test drive unit with a tow bar? I'm keen to see what the BEV economy figure is first as that will depend on viability for me.

They didn't as tow bar kits weren't yet available... more frustratingly, they still are not (I ordered one when we purchased). I just got an update that we won't get it til September now.

The EX5 has been released? And it's priced from $40,990 + ORC.

Still no tow rating though, which is a key feature for me.

Just wondering when your expected delivery date is? Also did you consider the Jaecoo J7 SHS?

We picked up our C10 REEV on 27 March (so we got it in time to qualify to PHEV tax exemption on novated lease).

I would have considered the J7 if it had been available in time – however, I suspect I would still lean towards the C10:

~55km for EV range (after 4 months of ownership, we've only used the petrol engine 3 times, still have the vast majority of the tank of fuel we got with it)
~$4000 cheaper
