It's made of Jarrah – an Australian hardwood. Timber doesn't last forever – if you want it to last you need to sand it back and paint it with an outdoor timber paint (eg, Cabots, Feast Watson).
The setting looks like it was made by Jensen Jarrah. Chairs are most likely their Brookton model. Mine are about 18 years old.
