Just got my first dash cam, thought I'd get a cheap one at first to see how it goes before I decide wether to invest in an expensive one. Bought the G1W-C and I am very impressed in the picture quality for something that only cost about $50. Interested to see how it goes at night on the drive to work in the morning (I did read that night quality isn't that great)
I did a bit of research and this dash cam seemed to be the best of the cheapies.

Noticed bad hissing & some crackling on the FM band today,
I am having the same issue with the dash cam I installed yesterday, installed normal way into power source, certain stations crackle worse then others, stops immediately when I unplug the power source.

Just a warning: bought G1WH from Estore009 as recommended. After couple of days of just +35°C 2 weeks ago plastic body melted. The whole device looks like it was baked for an hour and summer is not here yet!
G1WH IS NOT RECOMMENDED!

I have read that there are some cheap knock offs sold on ebay but I have also read that estore009 is good.
My car is parked outside on weekends in western Sydney I'll let you know if the same happens to my G1W-C

Then you'll expect the range of minus 4C to plus 45C we get in the Penrith area at the most extreme of times.
Yep and when it's 45C outside it will be a lot more inside the car.

I Don't know much about how any of this works but some observations on my fm interference.
Some channels worse then others, interference is worse near home then it is near work . Now the strange bit while driving home during yesterday's storm in western Sydney the reception was fine.
