They were going in tonight, but its been pushed back 24 hours – so will be overnight tomorrow night.
I look forward to seeing the new deals because i want to leave Telstra directly and port over to woolworths seeing as you use Telstra's 3g/4g network
So far what i've seen i like the data roll over up to 15GB and the 10% discount on all recharges and not to forget the 30 days to use it then 28 days from telstra which is a pain
Hope that stays :)
Also seems your pricing is reasonable hope it gets better :)
I don't really use my phone much for calls/text, wouldn't mind seeing the $15.00 prepaid plan with more allowance then $250 and 400mb or perhaps a middle plan $20.00 with 10% discount on it with $500 calls and bit more data to make it worth wild
Awaiting my woolworths rewards card in the mail :D
Rollover, 10% discount for WR members and 30 days expiry is staying
YAY
A $20 Recharge ($18 with WR) is being introduced tomorrow night
Now that looks very interesting i can't wait to see tomorrow night :D
If you are using your phone outside metro areas (regional/rural) make sure to check their coverage maps first as there is a large km2 difference between the 2 networks (retail/wholesale).
I see thanks for explaining :) i don't think it be too much of an issue i rarely go to regional/rural areas but its nice to know anyway :D
Here you go:
$45 Recharge – $40.50 (WR) – 12GB (first 3), then 10GB, Unlimited AU Calls/SMS/MMS, Unlimited International Mins to 10 countries, $100 Other allowance, up to 15GB Rollover
$30 Recharge – $27 (WR) – 5GB (first 3), then 4GB, Unlimited AU Calls/SMS/MMS, 150 International Mins to 10 countries, $100 Other allowance, up to 15GB Rollover
$20 Recharge – $18 (WR) – 1.5GB, Unlimited AU Calls/SMS/MMS, $20 Other allowance
$15 Recharge – $13.50 (WR) – 500MB, $250 AU Calls, Unlimited AU SMS/MMS
Note – the bonus data for the first 3 recharges is for new activations only and the activation has to occur before 30th September
Wow Thanks Rod, the $15 and $20 look great value :D
The $30/$45 also look great with extra GB well done guys :)
Since i got the $2 sim card today, wonder if i should attempt the port from Telstra now or early tomorrow morning
Question Rod: the $20 1.5GB doesn't roll over up to 15GB ? only the $30 and $45 ?
You are quoting significantly more words than you have written.
Consider whether you need to quote at all — unless you are quoting to respond to a specific statement, it's usually easier to just mention who you're responding to.
Otherwise, trim the quoted passages down as much as you can.
That's correct – just the $30 & $45 Recharges
None the less all the plans look great :) can't wait to port tomorrow early in the morning :D
Just started my process to port now, hopefully it doesn't take too long coming directly from Telstra
edit: wow Service is now active just after 23mins now that's a fast port i'm impressed :D
Rod, there seems to be a issue with woolworths recharge selection
i got Unfortunately we are unable to process your payment. Please check your card details and try again (or try a different card). For further assistance please contact Customer Care on 1300 10 1234
However when checking my bank account it shows the $18.00 went through
I've PM'd you
PM'd back cheers
It looks like your card was flagged for some reason. The $18 would just be the pre-auth which will drop off in a few days
edit: Thanks Rod for pushing that through :)
I learned something new, don't recharge while on a VPN :)
*HI5's to Rod* for fixing the issue :D
Thank you so much
I don't understand the logic why they give a better deal on prepaid as compared to the 12 months sim only plan.
If you consider the Rewards card discount , the 30 dollar prepaid deal is much better than the 30 dollar sim only plan for 12 months.
Who in their right mind would go on a sim plan for 12 months?
Perhaps not many people are going on sim only plans anymore, more people like prepaid like i do :)
Buy Mobile outright then stick to prepaid overall cheaper then contract for mobile repayments + plan etc
I just have a quick question...
The $15 prepaid recharge says $250 national and international calls. Does that mean i can make a call within Australia to any international number out of that $250 allocation? (obviously at a high rate)
Yes that's correct
Zone $ per minute (or part thereof)
International Zone 1
$1.00
International Zone 2
$2.50
International Zone 3
$5.00
International Zone 4
$7.50
International Zone 5
$12.00
International Zone 6
$15.00
Open the PDF and you can see the whole list of countries and how much what zone cost
Also add-ons can be purchased
https://mobile.woolworths.com.au/prepaid.html
$9.99 = $200 International call credit 30 day expire
$24.99 = $500 International call credit 30 day expire
The $2 Pre-paid SIM Pack says you can choose from $15, $30 or $45 recharges (no mention of the $20 recharge), but it also says 'For use with all Pre-paid recharge offers'
Scroll down you will see the $20 recharge offer $18 if you have a Woolworths Reward card
https://mobile.woolworths.com.au/prepaid.html
$15 $20 $30 $45
I was hoping to start with the $2 SIM and add a $20 recharge,
You can i did when ported over, jumped on the $20 recharge
but would I need to purchase the $30 Pre-paid Starter Pack first?
You can pick up a $2 sim card at any woolworths shop and when you go to recharge online select the $20 recharge
1.5GB is more than enough data for projected usage, so I'm not worried about data rollover at the end of the month.
Only 1 way to find out try it out and see how you go
You got the options to buy add-ons if you need them :)
$5.00 – Total 250MB
$7.50 – Total 750MB
$10.00 Total 1GB
$25.00 Total 3GB
30 Day Expire
Seems like Aldi is going up against Woolworths in the unlimited calls stakes: They are dropping unlimited calls and texts into their $15 amd $20 levels from tomorrow. Interesting times. It doesnt seem that long since unlimited was only if you paid arms and legs to Telstra or Optus.
Yep sure looks like Aldi going up against woolies
The new data roll over for even their lower plans is an interesting approach
Looks like Aldi aren't going up against the woolies $18 plan.
AldiMobile have discontinued the $20 M plan on the same day as launching the unlimited + data rollover for existing M customers only.
Their will be some people upset about it and maybe churn over to woolies :)
I'm happy on my $18 plan being first month, Coverage is great and i love the woolies google playstore app :D
OTOH they have introduced unlimited calls and texts, and data rollover, for their $15 level.
Would be nice if woolies offered 1GB on their $15 prepaid offer, and $300 to $500 of calls :)
Can someone please tell me what the Woolworths (telstra) network is like? Any problems?
From my own experience
Pros:
- Quick Port directly from Telstra to Woolies
- No coverage issue since porting
- Great Prepaid deals plus 10% by having a woolies reward card
- Mobile APP is great to have with up to date on data usage when in use (Love the Finger Print on the APP)
- 30 Days recharge instead of Telstra's silly 28 days
- Some other MNVO Providers have SMS/Text lag (read reports from different wp users) i can say i don't have that issue with Woolies even apps like whatsapp/viber/ work well on Woolies Telstra network
Cons:
- Can't think of any oh just the odd don't use a VPN when recharging for prepaid account it will get blocked :)
P.S Rod, Possible to add a paypal gateway of recharging via website and/or Woolies app ?
I pretty much use Paypal to pay for nearly everything online these days
If that's an option can it be added if possible please :)
That's on auto recharge only, isn't it?
With Woolies No
All their prepaid you get the full 30 days regardless of auto recharge
It's been talked about. Let me see where it got to.
Thanks Rod, look forward to seeing it applied :D
2 extra days and if I can't keep track of my due day, then tough titties for me.
Install the Woolies app to your phone :)
And at the end of next week we'll be launching V4.2 which will include:
- The ability to use the app even when you've run out of data
- Notifications to indicate you've run out of data and need to purchase an Add-on or recharge your service
- The ability to use a promo code when doing a recharge via the app
When you manage to add paypal via the gateway website/mobile app will the 10% show automatic when you do a recharge ?
Then V4.3 in late Oct/early Nov will include features such as:
- New My Account UI
- The ability to view/download your Proof of Purchase for warranty or bonus claims
- The ability to recharge a service other than your own
- The ability to reset your voicemail
- The ability to enable/disable your voicemail
- The ability to see a detailed listing of rewards points applied for eligible Phone Plans
- The ability to cancel a Recurring Add-on
Now that looks awesome! can't wait for that to appear :)
Keep up the great work Rod and Woolies Team :D
You are quoting significantly more words than you have written.
Consider whether you need to quote at all — unless you are quoting to respond to a specific statement, it's usually easier to just mention who you're responding to.
Otherwise, trim the quoted passages down as much as you can.
My phone usually only has 1 or 2 bars out of 6 and my connection is always fine.
What phone ? i'd say most likely to do with what bands come with the phone itself
(From Telstra prepaid, old freedom plus plan.)
I came from that plan too :)
but both phones are working just as well on Woolworths as they did on Telstra
Good to hear :D i recently got the Huawei mate 9, love the phone 2 days + of battery usage
The Woolies mobile app is sweet.
Seconded.
Third.
It runs rings around Telstra's 24/7 app for usability and responsiveness
Totally does laps :)
It baffles me that a company with Telstra's resources are so far behind in this area, but lack of competition stifles innovation.
They don't care about the little things that make it easier for customers
Yep it can – just dial #002# from your phone.
Thanks for that Rod i'll go ahead and do that now
Perhaps i missed it via skimming the Woolies F.A.Q on the website
Can someone add that on to the website if it's not there please :)
Also love the app compared to the telstra one. (Which ended up with ads in the last update
Yeah i still use the Telstra 24x7 app because i have internet/home service with them, all i see are ad's and it's pretty annoying
I really hope Woolies never go down this path
Ported from boost to the 4GB Woolies Prepaid plan today and decided to time it for fun, and it ended up taking 10 minutes and 30 seconds, which was surprisingly fast.
Woohoo Welcome to the club :D
I'd hazard a guess that Rod won't know. It's a year from now and these plans will probably be all different by then anyway.
Just wait till Rod appears and we can find out more :D
Hmmm, @RodS: Maybe should talk to the overlords about adding more value at the $15 level. The competition (aldi) now has unlimited calls and texts, 500GB and rollover of data for $15/m
Think you mean 500MB
@ RODS: I'd like to see little more value in the $15/m plan in data wise, maybe 750MB a little increase :)
I penny pinch as much as I can
In few days i'm gonna try the $15 ($13.50 with WR) and see how i go with it for 30 days :)
I do most of my updates when at home on wifi
Love penny pinching :D
Hi all – V4.2 of the mobile app is being submitted to stores tomorrow – so will be available to Android users around mid-afternoon
YAY :D i just checked and it's not in the store yet
What's New In This Version?
- Now you can use the app to check your usage, recharge your service or purchase an Add-on even when you’ve run out of data
- Got a promo code? Enter it in the new promo code field when recharging your service to receive the promo discount
- Push notifications for a successful recharge, bill payment, Add-on purchase or when you’ve run out of data
^ I like this :)
You are quoting significantly more words than you have written.
Consider whether you need to quote at all — unless you are quoting to respond to a specific statement, it's usually easier to just mention who you're responding to.
Otherwise, trim the quoted passages down as much as you can.
The new version will be submitted shortly.
I look forward to it :)
P.S How much longer before Paypal Gateway gets added for both website/mobile app version 4.3/ 4.4 ? :D
I suppose you need to have it read the rewards card to pass the discount via paypal option? so may take time to get it done
The app has gotten allot better over the last 6 months, better than some competitors now :)
This +1000
And considering the major big players have the funds to do an awesome app yet they just don't do it
With Woolies App it's truly Awesome :D
The Android version was just submitted. So give it an hour or so for Google to process it and make it available to everyone.
*Thumbs UP* i'll keep a close eye on it, Thanks ROD :D
I'm on leave for the next week so I'll catch you all when I'm back!
Have a good week off, be sure to return so we can pester you some more :P
Haha I like your optimism – but there's a bit of integration work to do if/when its given the go-ahead.
So it won't be V4.3 unfortunately. No ETA at this stage.
No Worries Rod :) someone has to keep Woolies on their toes, might as well be us here on da forums :D
Hows everyone else finding Woolworths Network so far ?
For me it hasn't missed a beat it's like being still directly with Telstra even tho i'm not :D and of course lot cheaper :)
Hey Rodstar firstly welcome back from ya week off :)
Question: i recharged to the $13.50 prepaid plan $250 calls unlimited sms/mms 500MB data
Recharged on the 8th Oct
Let's say i run out of data around 15th of Oct, i buy an addon 250MB which says 30 days expire
So does that mean my 250MB will expire on the 15th of Nov and not the 8th of Nov when it's due to recharge ?
Also when i recharge on the 8th of Nov will the existing data eg: 250MB be used first up till the 15th of Nov then 500MB recharged on the 8th of Nov start to kick in after the 15th Nov until the next recharge will be due ?
Hope that makes sense :)
Thanks! Was way too short! Haha
Ya Welcome :D
Yes it will last for 30 days as long as you recharge your base plan before it expires. If your base plan expires, your Add-on will also expire
That's cool sorta like a data roll over up till the next due date when purchased nice i like
Yep Add-on data will be used up first before base plan data.
Nice feature Thanks Rod for the quick reply :)
Just a heads up that the legacy Prepaid Login on the website will be removed from 25/10.
Could you please elaborate on that ? Does that mean we can't login on the website ? Do we have to use the app until next year ?
Yes can you please explain this Rod
Sometimes i may recharge via website hope this doesn't get removed :)
You’ll still be able to do that – you’ll just use the existing Recharge link from the homepage instead of logging in and then choosing to Recharge
Other recharge options include:
- Recharge via the app
- Set Up Auto-recharge
- Use short-dial codes to recharge using a voucher (*159*vouchernumber#)
Thank you very much Rod for explaining in more detail :)
Thanks for your input but the question was addressed to Rob.
Think you mean Rod, unless Rob is his brother or he suddenly got his name changed :P
Make sure you update to the latest version – V4.2 – and you'll be good to go.
I can say without a doubt Rod, Woolies Mobile App is very well updated and bug free
So kuddos to the team who looks after the App for us Android/Iphone users :D
I'll keep thinking of ideas to add to the app if you can but i think you have it covered :)
edit: if anyone has any good ideas for the Mobile App for future updates throw them at Rod via paper aeroplane :P
Just a heads up that the SIM Only plan update and the Phone Plans update has been moved to the 31st
Sounds good Rod, if the sim only plans are good i may have some new customers lined up :)
Would appear so, from the WW Mobile Support page:
Can I use tethering on my Woolworths mobile service?
Yes, tethering is permitted.
HotSpot works fine for me Android :)
Hi all – V4.3 of the Mobile App was just submitted to Google Play and the App Store
Was just about to say this version was out yesterday but i fell asleep after work :)
The Android version should be available in an hour or so. The iOS version will be early next week once Apple have approved.
Updated on the 26th as you said it would *thumbs up*
V4.4 will follow by mid-November and will include:
- The ability to cancel recurring Add-ons (currently you have to call up to do this)
- Voicemail reset
- Voicemail enable/disable
- Detailed Woolworths Rewards listing so you can see your bonus WR points you've received as part of your Phone Plan
^^ Nice features can't wait to have them in action
Poor App Dev guy/girl working so hard to bring us this wonderful app for Android/IOS users :D
V4.5 Rod add's paypal gateway to get BlameShift off his back about it hehe :P (please don't forget about it)
Just reminding you :)
edit: spelling
Can anyone however confirm if that is 10GB or 8GB per month on the $45 prepaid plan?
https://mobile.woolworths.com.au/prepaid.html
$ 45
Recharge
$40.50 – with your 10% Woolworths Rewards Discount^
30 day Expiry
10GB Data
30 day Expiry
Haha haven't forgotten – it's on the roadmap, but I don't have a date as yet.
Thanks Rod :D
BTW just curious will Broadband Pre-paid also be getting an update with better value with data ?
In the meantime, Woolworths have lost me as a customer by complicating my life for their own gain: it was working well enough for my needs before it was withdrawn.
Complicating your life really? over exaggeration much?
Simple steps to recharge via mobile app or via website isn't really all that complicated
If you just want to recharge, you can do so here – https://www.woolworthsmobile.com.au/recharge
There's a new My Account portal coming early next year – for both Prepaid and Postpaid customers – that will have all the features currently available in the app plus more.
Look forward to seeing it Rod, sometimes you can't make every customer happy on these forums but those are the breaks :)
Keep up the good work :D
would be nice if there wasn't a roll over cap for data
An unlimited data cap roll over wouldn't be too smart of an idea i reckon
Tho would be nice if Woolworths did upgrade the cap from 15GB max to say 40GB for those that recharge $30+
I need to say this: this *never* happened with Telstra, and I should not have to disable mobile data as soon as I walk in my front door, if I have been out. Yesterday, it was 120k and I was home all day, and asleep for most because I was not well. Whatever it is, it needs to stop.'
Not having at go at you sue but seriously
Turning Data on/off when going out and returning home takes all of a few seconds to do i don't see the big deal
Any time i'm going out i turn my wifi off and turn data on and vice versa when walking in the front door
I agree, and do this myself, but, the poster shouldn't have to.
Maybe her wifi drops out, that could explain the mystery mobile data being used from time to time.
Hi Rod
Many thanks for your swift reply.
Can't believe you are working at mid-night!!
I have this theory that Rod dresses up as Batman @ night to fight crime after his shift @ woolies :P
Jokes aside, Can always count on Rod's presence to be super helpful around on whirlpool :)
The port has gone through, so all good.
Fantastic and enjoy :D
The Bale version or the Affleck version? Haha
The Affleck version of course haha :P
Thank you for the call-out. I'm happy to help!
No Worries Rod, tho if sometimes it gets a bit busy here, maybe Woolworths can get another Rep tag for ya team mates but so far you got it all handled so *thumbs up*
Vodafone is worse than Optus here.
For me it be Telstra > Vodafone > Optus
I'd never go Optus again for anything not even optus network/adsl2+/NBN
So TElstra/Woolies/Boost/Aldi/TElechoice are my only options.
+1 i find Telstra's reception more reliable even for MNVO's
Hi all – this version is being released tomorrow for Android and should be available by Monday or Tuesday for iOS
*Thumbs UP* keep the updates coming Rod :)
Android is available now.
Cheers
Rod
Thanks again Rod for the updates pushed to google playstore :) i like the new feature disable/enable voicemail via App
Keep the surprises coming and soon you be known as Santa Claws or Easter Bunny :P
I just noticed it says Expires 30 Nov 2017
Can I activate it on 30 Nov or do I have to do earlier
If i was you, id port it over ASAP just in case anything goes wrong, never leave it to the last day because anything can happen beyond your control
Anyone else having issue with the woolies app?
When i try login it comes up with "Sorry your request couldn't be processed. Please try again shortly, if the problem persists, please call us by clicking the link in the menu."
These holidays, get more data to stream your carols, watch movies or talk and text to your heart’s content when you activate or recharge on any of our pre-paid plans by 2 January 2018#.
Get double data on the $15, $20 and $30 recharges or bonus 5GB on our $45 recharge.
Plus if you are on the $30 or $45 recharge, you can keep rolling over your unused data to store for when you need it when you recharge before expiry~.
https://mobile.woolworths.com.au/prepaid.html
That's great value on all prepaid plans :D
Hey Rod, will this value on all prepaid plans be permanent ?
Hey Rod, don't know about anyone else but i find the "alert" message everytime you login to see your usage calls/data etc a tad annoying showing up all the time.
Possible for next update in the version, can you add a settings to enable/disable alerts temporally ? or least have a button some where saying "only show once a week" so everytime people login we don't have to see the "Alert" message about the xmas bonus or anything else that may be updated/changed in the future
Not trying to sound like a whinger, just stating MOO ( my own opinion )
Even a possible once off SMS to woolworths customers reminding them of the changes/bonuses in near future would be much better then "Alert" on woolies app everytime you login :)
The pop-up message will be gone by the weekend.
It was up for 5 days to let as many people as possible know about the bonus data.
It was configured to only show once every 8 hours.
Cheers
Rod
No Worries thanks rod :D
Haha yes a nice extended break over Christmas and January. Back on deck today.
Hey Rod welcome back to WP :) hope ya holiday was nice :D
I see there's a couple of dozen PM's waiting for me – I'll work through them as soon as I can.
You need to hire a secretary :P
Hey Rod thanks for extending the double data to march, really appreciate all the work you do for everyone on here :D
P.S you missed my welcome back to ya :(
Thank you! Just looking at the features coming in V4.6 (around April) and it will just keep getting better!
Hey Rod, will there be a way to disable/bar premium sms via the woolies app on v4.6? how can i tell if my service has them disabled or enabled ?
You're in luck cos its disabled permanently! :-)
Cheers
Rod
Thanks that sure is a load off my mind :D
P.S Rod, are you sure you have a team :p ? because you doing an amazing job here all by yourself answering everyone's posts day in day out, perhaps you got a hidden secretary some where under ya desk ;p
Haha you're very kind – but yes I have an amazing team behind the scenes that should get all the credit.
Your very welcome :) – well make sure you let them know we all here appreciate their efforts :)
V4.5 of the app will be hitting Google Play today sometime
Looking forward to that :D
Woolies APP v4.5 Installed on my phone,
Thanks Rod for the updates to google playstore
Whats New Woolies App v4.5 below
- Activate a Flexi Plan or Sim Only service in 1 step using your phone camera
- View, download or print your proof of purchase
- A yellow notification bar will appear after tapping on the add-ons tab or recharge tab if you already have a recurring add-on or have auto-recharge enabled
- New payment options menu
- App will prevent a second recharge when the first is still being processed
- Quick recharge or bill payment from the login screen
Covered all the points :)
but what about post-paid, those who have (most of the time) committed to 2 years, are they not worth a bonus of some sort!!??
If you want the "benefits" of Pre Paid, why did you sign up to a long term Post Paid contract?
Good question shame he didn't reply to it
Oh wait – you'll be happy to know we're renaming the Rollover bucket to Data Bank :-)
Data Bank does sound better then Rollover Bucket, wouldn't want people to actually start doing that :)
Has it been a few months yet?
Just bought a Woolies plan and quite surprised to find there's no website account tool.
Woolies removed that a month or so ago
https://mobile.woolworths.co
Hey Rod, Any chance of Woolies adding data bank for prepaid's $15 and $20 as well ? that's something i'd really like, is that something you can ask them please
12 months phone plan? I wish to have/own a new phone every 12 months.
That sure is a big waste of money
Hello Rod, sent you a PM about a recharge issue i'm having right now
Hopefully you can fix the issue for me please :)
Yeah we seem to have an issue on our end
I’ll come back to you.
Edit – your recharge should have gone through now
Cheers
Rod
Thank you Rod, seriously what would people here do without you here :) i don't wanna think about it :D
How do people find their customer service?
Rod and his team of magic magicians are great, can't go wrong with Rod being on here during the week days/nights to answer and help people's questions
The excellent support that Rod provides on this forum says it all really.
+1
Is there an option to the change the voicemail to text with WW Mobile?
Isn't that just a Telstra Feature only?
Alrighty – so from Monday morning:
- New inclusions for the $20 Recharge
So $15 didn't get approved for the data bank ? that's a little disappointing :(
If aldi mobile can do it why not woolies?
My reading of the Aldi fineprint suggests that its plans don't have a Data Bank feature. It is simply a monthly roll over.
I see i missed that part but still, $20 gets it so why not the $15 too
How do we block all premium sms and 3rd party charges on WW mobile or is this already done by default.
I asked this question and Rod told said its blocked by default
but I honestly think people are going to be disappointed. Any increase in data is good, but woolies is still behind boost in the $20 plan
https://catchconnect.com.au/products/mobile <---slightly better in terms of data value
Data banking across all +$20 plans.. very nice.
Would be nice if the $15 plan was included too but it isn't
Yeah I hear you. But for an extra $4.50 spend per month to get unlimited calls/SMS/MMS/$100 Intl kitty/2GB data – in order to get data banking as a future data buffer, don't you think this is money well spent vs the $15 sparse inclusions?
Not everyone needs unlimited calls or text, i never come close to using my $250 of calls per month, sometimes i only use $20 of it
International calls i don't need, when skype/viber/whatsapp etc can be used for that while at home or someone else's home internet
I'd rather not pay for stuff i don't need or won't use :)
Checked my woolies app
So far i've used $1.30 and have $248.70 and 16 days left
$13.50 with rewards card is nice, hope they don't get rid of it
Hi – yes as long as you don't go below the $20 Recharge plan your data will continue to rollover into your data bank (up to 15GB)
Hi Rod how come the $15 plan wasn't included in the data bank ?
Hi – there are some additional changes coming at the end of April which should shed some light on this
Thanks Rod, looking forward to it xD
Damnit. Bought a Starter pack a couple of weeks ago, waiting for better plans this morning before porting out from Telstra Prepaid to WW. $20 plan still the same and $15 plan gone. Very uncompetitive WW :(
Lucky i churned last month to another provider, don't need $20 recharge every month nor do i need unlimited calls
Was happy paying $13.50 shame that's no longer a thing
Noticed the Woolworths rewards card thingy doesn't apply anymore
I have the Woolworths (now discontinued) $15 plan for one of my phones ($13.70 $13.50 after discount)
Fixed for you, 10% of $15.00 = $13.50 :)
And going from that to $20 (with no 10% discount) is actually about a 50% increase in price. For anyone in the same situation, I'd say that now is definitely the time to start looking for another provider.
Just have to search around different providers, some are still below $20 and offer great value, rare but can find them of course :)
I went from paying $13.50 to paying $9.95 per month and i'm quiet happy with my choice :D
Does anybody believe that the discontinued $15 plan may be “Grandfathered “ to those with an auto recharge activated?
https://mobile.woolworths.co
How can I recharge my mobile on a discontinued plan?
You can still continue to recharge on your current plan if you want to. Just set up auto-recharge on the Woolworths Mobile App by 13 June 2018, to keep recharging indefinitely
I'm hoping they announce a plan to rival belong's $10 plan
That be interesting since woolworths killed the $13.50 plan few months back
International calls and bigger data bank don't interest me
Unlimited data banking is why i joined :)
but I know others want it
^ Yep
Data bank has increased from 15GB to 30GB but a little bit short of the 50GB that a lot of us were hoping for
You don't really expect Telstra/Optus/ MVNO brands to allow their competitors to have data banking with 50GB or more than their own offering ?
Telstra don't want woolies to compete with or even come close to Belong's unlimited banking
Really doubt any provider apart from Telstra's Belong having unlimited banking unless Vodafone/Optus decide one day to do that then it make things interesting
Either way it's good to see some competition :)
$20 – 3GB (6.3GB with bonus)
$30 – 10GB (13.3GB with bonus)
$40 – 20GB (23.3GB with bonus)
$50 – 30GB (33.3GB with bonus)
All 4 plans have 10GB bonus data every 3 months.
All 4 plans have 100GB data bank.
Nice update Ron :)
Surprised woolworths managed to get databank up to 100GB through Telstra
