Already swapped over to Avast on the main computer a while ago, but still using AVG on the server and Mum's computer. Might give AntiVir a go on the server, then figure out the best one for Mum's...

stupid and ugly Avast

I have to admit, I almost uninstalled Avast as soon as I saw the main interface (and discovered there was no way to deactivate skins - don't get me started on programs like that). But after a while I discovered that the only part of the program I interact with on any frequent basis doesn't use skins at all: I never use the "Scan my entire HDD" option of any of my antivirus progams, just the resident scanner and the automatic update feature, and those parts of Avast only use plain Win32 API stuff (so they look like the rest of my desktop, as they bloody well should).

I'll still be giving AntiVir a whirl, though :-)
