It’s a great card.

I'm still running one while waiting for the 3000 series and Big Navi. Runs 2560x1440 ultra fine, 4K I have to turn a couple of things down and change the resolution scaling a bit, but still looks good and get a solid 60fps.

Maybe I’ll hold off until pricing for the 3000 series is released.

The 1080 is doing its job for now.

That's what I am doing, my 1080 struggles a little with 4K but is fine for a few months more

Will be interesting to see how stock levels go of the Ampere card with the highest memory bandwidth (not necessarily the top card in the stack). It will be around 3x faster than a 2080Ti on crypto-mining. And Ethereum is currently up almost 3x it's value of only a month or two ago.

I know there isnt exactly reliable information out there but does anyone have an idea of what the new cards will be priced at? will the 3080 be above 1k?

Boldly low predictions IMO, given the somewhat ridiculous current costs of things in to 2080 range

Would be my predictions.
But currently owning a pair of RTX 2080Ti's which work fine for me, I'll hang off for the RTX 4090 in 2022 which will be 70% faster if not more than my RTX 2080Ti card in Direct X12 performance and at 2560x1440P resolution as well.

I just ordered a laptop that has an RTX 2060. Anyone know the equivalent to that for a PC version?

I'm hoping it will be pretty good for Flight Simulator 2020 but I know laptop versions will have limited power so thought i'd try and find what an equivalent is, to see how it fairs.

No chance. I would still expect the 3080 Ti to be >$2000

3080 will be around $1700 and then the 3070 to be $1300.

3080 Ti to be >$2000

But if the 3090 rumour is true, the 3090 is really a 3080Ti. And the 3080Ti is really the 3080, but just performs so well they can get away with calling it the 3080Ti.

Predictions:
3080 AUD$1199
3080Ti AUD$1999
3090 AUD$2999

I'm building a second gaming PC so will look to pick up either the 3080 or 3080Ti/3090/whatever-it's-called depending on price points. I don't think I could justify more than $2k though unless it is an absolute killer and can comfortably drive AAA titles at 120 fps + on 3440x1440p...
