V562 is released as OTA (auto update) for C745 and C845 models.

Very happy with picture quality with everything else on 503, though sound crackles in movie mode for some reason.
I'm surprised how buggy 503 is, but nothing major, nothing I can't live with, just wrong commands sometimes.
Does everyone has issue with TCL 835 internet connection?
- Due to my routine, I tend to turn off TV from power point before bed. The next day, internet is always disconnected when TV turns on. It lasted for 1 mins and reconnect the internet. It also happens when I left TV off/stand-by mode for 2-3 hours.
It had never an issue with my previous hisense.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
- After upgrade V562, it seems my game mode does not turn on automatically when PS5 turn on. I have to manually turns on and I do not get 4k120 hz from this TV. The PS5 setup does allows it play at 4k 120hz VRR but it never shows on FPS refresh rate.
I installed V8-T615T03-LF1V999_Test_Version_15 but it won't connect to any hdmi input. As soon as the input is selected it crashes and defaults to the TCL home screen. I tried to install v562, but my c835 won't let me, says I have a newer update. I can find plenty of zips but I cannot find an .img to over come this problem. Help please.

1. Format a USB Flash drive using FAT32.
2. Download the zip file containing the software for your TV to your computer.
3. Unzip/extract the software.
4. Copy the software file to the root catalogue of the USB flash drive.
5. Unplug the power cord to your TV.
6. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the back of the TV.
7. Press and hold the power button on the TV, not the remote.
8. While holding the button on the TV, plugin the power cord of the TV again.
9. When the software install message appears on the TV, release the power button.
10. Do not unplug the power cord during the software install. When the initial setup screen appears on the TV the software install is completed.
This method will reset Android settings and installed apps

I didn't really asses PQ because I upgraded to 562 within hours of setting it up. I'm not getting any crackling though on movie mode though on 562. Keep in mind I have C735 not sure how relevant.

I upgraded our 75C835 and 65C735 to 562. The new UI has better info displayed for TV Channels and it does seem to be snappier than 503. Anyway, that is just my quick assessment of the update.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm having all sorts of issues with V503, it's getting laggy, turn the TV on tonight and all my settings gone, picture modes seem to be mixed up, standard and Vivid seem to be switched, very strange.
So if there's some bugs in V562, hopefully it's not worse than V503.
Will flash it once I get time.

I did the update myself this morning, I honestly cannot see much difference from 503. In the Input area I can see VRR etc is enabled but cannot find Game Mode. When I start my Xbox, it shows 4K 120hz (TV is set to Game mode for Xbox, not HDR etc).
Little bit off subject I’m in process of setting up setting up a tcl c835 75 inch just finished making a unit for it.
I have a bit of old and new tech mix at present and yes will do for now might upgrade sound bars etc in future and yes it’s my first 4K tvs they might not be the best buys but good enough for me.
So for the main set up will be tcl c835 with a Yamaha 109 surround and a Panasonic ub820 4K player and kids switch. I do have another blu ray player even though I not use it I prefer to leave it in the mix.
I believe best way to set up the Yamaha bar with with arc and would 4K hdmi cable be best?
I will have my ub820 set up with a4k hdmi.
As for other blu ray player and switch standard hdmi cable will do.
Now as I’m new to this tcl tv will the settings need tweaking or just leave as is, I, not as clued up as some of you but will I see differences changing the setting and what’s the recommendations.
This is off subject at least I also got and already set up a Samsung b8000 65 inch for bedroom I have a Sony ht-mt 300 sound bar set up, yes bit dated like the Yamaha above as suited my needs back then and yes was not cheap back then when I got them and yes might not be best for these tvs.
With this tv I got the Sony x700 4K player again I have an older blu ray player I probably not use but I’m keeping it in there for now.
And a very old console my wife does not want to get rid of lol.

On the Panasonic to be honest I not had time to view play around even try a actual 4K disc but I take there is a difference with watching an actual disc compared to streaming a 4K movie?
As I been busy setting building units and all other things and only in process of doing the tcl one not had chance to play around with both.

Definitely need to tweak, first thing is take it out of Standard TV mode which is eco mode.

I found I did not have to adjust or use those settings a lot as presets in other TV modes as they worked well, but had to do a lot of fiddling around and experimenting for FTA with both normal TV and watching sports(mostly cricket).
I'm perfectly happy with watching content from other sources, but I'm still fiddling around to get best FTA picture quality as I feel it's very inconsistent, plus I have a suspicion that my TV 65c835 is not the greatest in upscaling.
I also find the software quite buggy, but not unusable, feels like early days of Android on phones where we used to flash custom firmwares and modem firmwares to fix bugs, added and enhanced features, improved performance over time, where modern smart phone firmwares are pretty dialled in, and we don't have a need to flash custom firmwares these days.
You can play with those settings, but bear in mind that those 2p settings don't reflect your TV. I wouldn't even bother touching them and simply turn them off (default) unless you can actually calibrate your TV to your room.

Take it out of low power picture mode at least.
You'll be surprised how much nicer the picture quality gets.
TV's come in low power or standard mode out of the box, just to comply with the power consumption stickers that come with the TV and displayed in shops.
Click settings button on remote > Picture > Picture Mode
Try some of the other picture modes...
So just leave it as is out of box then?
What I would do is:
- Picture mode to Movie. That's the most accurate.
- Turn off all settings with the word "intelligent" or "dynamic"
- while watching some SDR content (eg FTA TV) in the evening, adjust Brightness to your preference.
That should give you a good picture. You may have to repeat when watching HDR or other HDMI inputs because they use different sets of settings.
You can tweak other settings like Motion later on as required.

Game mode is in settings menu. I have PC connected HDMI and Game mode is avalable setting which activates ALLM etc for you
