Hi first post here!
Looking for feedback on a company called "Create Australia" who I believe were also known as "Cre8 Australia" some years ago. The deal is for about $5k they teach you how to find lost accounts/money belonging to other people and you then act as an agent to recover the money for a fee. Seems to me that this is a bit old hat now with the ASIC databases now available which makes it very easy for the owner of the funds to do it themselves. All reviews on line appear to be staged and well managed as I cannot find anything which is genuinely an independent review, positive or negative .
Anyone had any experience with this company?
Seems like an obvious scam.
Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s illegal to solicit people and ask for a fee to recover money.

This is my guess on what they will teach you based on my knowledge of what I believe they do.
Basically they will teach you to access the various public unclaimed monies databases and the "best" way to extract data from them. Likely they have some sort of program that allows them to run multiple searches at the same time and to capture the results.
Next they teach you how to access other public databases to try to match results with people people/companies to identify targets as to who might have unclaimed monies they are unaware of.
Next they teach you how to carefully write a slightly misleading letter which preys on the ignorance of the recipient to say you will charge them a fee or commission to help them claim the unclaimed monies, all the while knowing that person can do the same thing for free themselves.

The unclaimed monies search engines have been around for a number of years yet these predatory business still stick around as there are always people who have a combination of ignorance and laziness (to do a quick google search to check on the process).
Up to you if you want to prey on people like that.
Up to you if you want to prey on people like that.
And throw away $5k learning how to search on Google
They'll probably get you to subscribe to some software too lol.
If there is tons of money in it, why are they needing to offer training for $5k?
Surely they'd just do the actual business and make money.
Bit like those people on all the youtube ads offering you millions of dollars in Amazon business if only you come on their training program for a few $k.

Because there isn’t usually money in it unless you come across someone who has a large amount in unclaimed monies and agrees to a commission based fee. My guess is those are few and far between.

I assume there has to be something like this involved too because all the public search engines only let you search for one name at a time. The only way you can make money is to send bulk ‘fishing’ letters out at a time and to do that you need some way to access large amounts of various public databases to try to cross match. Is it called scraping or something?
