I have been waiting patiently for over 3 months for my email to start working. I did everything iiNet asked me to do to migrate my email to these Messaging Company people only for this process to totally kill my email. I can access webmail through the iiNet website however Outlook365 refuses to work at all.
Today I just spent 30minutes on hold waiting to talk to someone at iiNet, I got frustrated and hung up the call. I've been with this company for over 20 years and I've never seen the quality of service drop to this level. I was worried about this when TPG took over and it seems my concerns were correct.
I have a Netspace email address which I think may be the problem.
iiNet please fix my email.
Just further to this, I called the messaging company about a month ago about this and they told me it's a problem with iiNet. iiNet said they are having problems with third party applications in some cases and advised me to wait until it is fixed. I've waited and it's still not fixed.
Any chance you can be a bit more specific about the issue you're having? Have you got the right server settings from TheMessagingCompany webite? https://support.themessaging.
I use Outlook from Office365 without any probelms so it must be a settings issue.
Those are NOT the iinet mail settings to use with messagingco, you still use those on the iinet support articles.
It's been said a number of times that no Outlook settings need to be changed when you are migrated to TMC.

Indeed. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't – depends on your luck it seems.
I've had no connection via Outlook since March. Luckily I had already migrated most of email to Outlook.com so I'm ignoring it.
Not going to do the whole "have you turned it off and on again" routine with support.
Can't access email (Messaging Co) since about 10am EST either on my phone or PC (the latter downloads my emails to OUtlook). Hope they fix it soon.
Same issue here – again!... it's not Outlook but TMC as can't even access it via my phone or the webmail login.
If the mail settings for Outlook or whatever work once, they should just keep working indefinitely.
Most of the time they work – it's just every couple of weeks their mail server spits the dummy or something.
I checked webmail as well – only six message where there should be dozens! (i use IMAP)
Just a further update to this issue. iiNet called me and we went through my email issues. After re-entering my password after checking it on toolbox (which hadn't changed and confirmed that I was using the correct password) my email miraculously started working. I still get this occasional popup message from Outlook telling me that my email settings are out of date. Don't know what that's about because I do also have a hotmail account which is set up using Microsoft Exchange through Outlook. Anyway, finally it is working so I don't really care.
My Iinet email has stopped working altogether in MS Outlook, I cannot alter, enter or delete.
I have transferred my account over to Messaging Company and find their webmail interface to be horrible, clunky and terrible to navigate and the appearance, presentation is something to be desired.
Not happy. Have a great day folks.

Change your guy back to the old version.

I also have the problem that since migrating from iiNet to TMC new emails are not being downloaded into my Outlook 365 Inbox on my MS Surface notebook. I can however send emails from my Outlook on my notebook. HOWEVER, on my Samsung phone, using the Samsung email app all seems to be working perfectly. Emails are receive in the Inbox and I can delete them on the phone, or move them to another email folder.
The STRANGE thing then is that after doing a receive/send in Outlook on my notebook, the emails I deleted using my phone show up in the Trash folder AND the emails that I moved to other folders using my phone also show up in the correct folders in Outlook on my notebook!
Another thing that's happening since migration is that I can not delete or move emails that were received in my notebook Outlook prior to migration to TMC! I get a pop up message saying I do not have "appropriate permission" to perform the operation.
I've communicated with TMC to check and verify that my Outlook settings are correct as well as update my password. No luck. I've checked that there are no rules in my Outlook that blocks incomming emails. I've closed my Outlook and looged out of MS 365, logged back in and relaunched Outlook but still no luck.
Can anyone help please?? This is driving me nuts!! I have a feeling it could have something to do with the folder permissions in my Outlook since migrating to TMC but I can't find any help on how to change or fix this!
Mine is fine, but I am not using 365 so my settings probably won't help.
These work with TMC (and TPG) on Outlook 2019:
POP3
Servers (both): mail.tpg.com.au
Incoming port (POP3): 995
This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
Outgoing port (SMTP): 465
Use following type: SSL
Thanks. I'm currently using Imap server settings given to me by TMC
Servers (both): imap.themessagingco.com.au
Incomming port: 993 SSL/TLS
Outgoing port: 465 SSL/TLS
Perhaps I should try changing to their POP setting.
Same here. My MS 365 Outlook has been stuck in Working Offline mode for 2 weeks and resists all attempts to reconnect online. Prior to this, I was also getting the no "appropriate permission" message when I attempted to delete or move emails to other folders.
I'm still dealing with TMC support but I've read that Cached Exchange Mode should be enabled at all times for Microsoft 365 accounts. However, CEM cannot be enabled for POP/IMAP servers.
MS 365 Support is also unhelpful ... where have all the real people gone?
A friend of mine can't access his iiNet email account (now hosted by TMC) via:
- Any desktop mail client (Outlook, T-Bird, eM Client, etc)
- Any mobile device (iOS & Android)
...but it does work via webmail (https://webmail.iinet.net.au), so it's not just an Outlook or Office364 issue, it's a TMC issue.
I've got him to send a message to support@themessaging.co so fingers crossed that he matter will get rectified.

Do those settings work for IMAP, or only just POP?
I had same issue, turns out the Nordvpn was blocking connection. Needed to turn off Threat Protection Pro>Web protection in Nordvpn.

pop.themessagingco.com.au:995 TLS
smtp.themessagingco.com.au:465 TLS
No luck getting my iiNet/TMC email setup in the new Outlook using IMAP but a month or so was able to get it setup in the new Outlook using the TMC provided settings but not working now for me, so went back to the old/classic Outlook for now until Microsoft finally does away with that.

What makes you think that Microsoft will do away with Outlook?
No, he is talking about the legacy interface which allows you to easily modify accounts whereas the new interface change function is hidden in my option.

Just bought a new android phone and can't get my internode email to work on it on Outlook.
Tried everything and it keeps coming back with Fail messages. Went to the TMC support page, followed their help bit but same.
Tried ringing their help line which was USELESS. Twice I was put on hold while constantly being urged to go to the help page and then both times after 30 minutes on hold they just hung up on me.Great support,NOT

Did you happen to get a resolution to this in the end? On iPhone I'm getting a network error now for my iiNet account using mail.iinet.net.au, but when I input the imap.themessagingco.com.au address it just gets rejected as "the server is not responding"... I even tried re-setting up the account and it still pulls the iiNet mail server settings by default.

FWIW the fix for this was to force the iPhone (via specifying a non-existent email) to allow me to manually enter the TMC IMAP/SMTP address during the initial setup process of the mailbox. Changing them after it has already pulled the iiNet settings from their Autodiscover record does not work.

Nope, so decided to cancel subscription and use gmail.
