Got a DHD a few weeks ago, was just talking to a colleague about user agent strings (he has a sonyericson x8), and found something interesting.
On his x8 (running android 2.1), he has the following string:
Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-au; SonyEricssonE15i Build/2.0.1.A.0.47) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17
But on my DHD – stock rom, I have this:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_7; en-us) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Safari/530.17
No mention of android at all, it says I've got a MAC.
What's the go?
Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2; en-gb; HTC_DesireHD_A9191 Build/FRF91) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 MobileSafari/533.1
That's mine...
Also I should've mentioned, I used: http://www.useragentstring.com/
and my current ROM on the DHD is LeeDroid 1.2
Thanks for that, I might mod mine to show the same... no idea why it says i've got a mac... hate macs.

It depends on your browser. You may have set the agent string to "desktop", hence the above. Reset it to "Mobile/Android". UA string for DHD should be HTC_DesireHD_A9191

Using stock default browser, and I've double checked that the string is set to android.
Well, changed it from android to iphone, then back again, now its showing correct... no idea what happened there. Now google is showing correctly too, it was defaulting to desktop mode all the time.
