I called Optus at 2:00AMish yesterday due to being 1 week early before my bill.

They uncapped me at 2:15AM but I still haven't been uncapped.
However they did say wait 24 hours.

I'm on 32kbps it's unbearable. I need the internet on a daily basis.

Why do they say wait 24hrs? I honestly don't have any faith in them seeing as they are all amateur technicians. (One idiot today told me to load speedtest, so I did, the site was taking ages to load so I was still obviously capped. Told him this and he kept telling me to wait for speedtest to load up, I mean wtf).

Can someone tell me why they ask for you to wait 24hrs? I can load sites from America in a split second and my usage meter gets updated every 15 minutes or so. That's why I'm confused.

What do you mean by being 1 week early before your bill?

Why do they say wait 24hrs?

It can take that long to go through if they agree to manually uncap you, although at 2am I don't see how there would have been a supervisor around to approve it.
