I'd get the V9. Its newer by more than a year...
And despite my loathing for all things Motorola, its a pretty decent phone.

Its really up to your personal taste. Would you rather have candybar or clamshell form factor.
Personally, I'd stick with S60v3 from Nokia as I loathe Motorola's UI. But there are issues with S60 as well. As the above poster(s) wrote, the V9 is slimmer and has "newer" tech.

N73 is old and is plagued with reliability issues.
Get the V9.

i was looking at the specs for the n73 and i thought that was a lot better in every way. all the v9 had was a touch screen music player, thats it.
Also, i am upgrading from a motorola v3x, which is a flip phone, and i wanted to give a candybar phone a go.
Also, i like the look better of the n73..
I know it sounds like i have already decided, but it would still be good to hear peoples opinions, because as someone said, the n73 has bugs or issues or something. Havent heard of this, but thats interesting.
Would the n73 be a good phone to go for? If not, i can get any other phone on the $29 cap plan from "3". www.three.com.au/threest...reemobiles.xhtml
so any one of them on the $29 cap plan. Which would be the best in your opinion?

Theres absolutely nothing wrong with the N73. If you like it, go for it. I remember when it was first released in Australia, these were selling like hotcakes at inflated prices. Plus the colours are gender neutral and are still very trendy (yes, even the plum). The camera ain't so bad when you compare it to phones 2 years ago.
The only thing I have against the N73 is perhaps the cramped keypad and the lack of d-pad (stick instead).
