Lately my G15 and G5 have been randomly restarting, leaving me without any control for about 10 seconds, sometimes its just quick and only the mouse does it.

At first i thought it was a logitech problem but i disabled all my logitech software and it still happens.

The mouse is plugged into the keyboard, but it still restarted when it was in a USB port.

I think this is a USB problem, interestingly, it tends to happen less in the daytime.

please help me out guys, thanks.

I think its lost some of its power of the years. Try testing it on another computer. If it works normally, then replace your PSU

yeah.
about once every 15 mintues they just stop. Im 70% sure its my USB ports or something of that nature because BOTH the keyboard and mouse do it.

Ive tried all kinds of different ports, uninstalling all the logitech devices i have, and im still getting this problem.

Could overheating cause this?

do you have any other usb devices connected? if not hook up a usb drive or something and see if it has the same problem. if it doesnt then its your keyboard and mouse.

i dont think its an overheating problem. only other thing is maybe its a power problem like others have said.

Sometimes its just my mouse, and i can get long streches where it never restarts for around 1 - 3 hours. when it restarts i hear lots and lots of "reconecting / connecting of USB devices" sounds, even if only the keyboard / mouse are plugged in.

it also happended alot less when i took the side of my case, but its probaly just luck, or a mobo fault :/
