Saw this a few days ago, and it's partly because the song is highly addictive.. so addictive I didn't put a proper title.

Anyway, a digital filmmaker has made a film clip for a song using his Mac's desktop. Apparently took 3 months to make, and it's quite clever.

Watch it at www.tuaw.com/2008/05/10/...p-as-music-video

Apple has used their music in an iPod ad, the track "La La La".

La la la on iTMS: phobos.apple.com/WebObje...484&s=143460

iPod ad: youtube.com/watch?v=CrGQ92NMyVc

The girl in the clip isn't the actual singer (Inara George).. here's the actual video clip: youtube.com/watch?v=xDlEXQaMBpk

Yes, the brunette is quite something :) ...

Also a higher quality version is at www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kxDxLAjkO8 (click the view in high quality link).

why does every simple idea becomes popular.

not knocking, fantastic clip but everything simple is becoming normal. eg, this clip, blair witch, hate to say it corey.

this world is losing it slowly. lol.

Corey? Haha I don't think he's popular at all..

Blair Witch was different, hence it's popularity. It's just entertaining at the end of the day.

I put this clip on the same level as White Stripes Fell in Love with a Girl.. another clever piece of work, with the simplest of things, Lego.

It's not about the idea it's about the execution.

true but as something so simple happens - you sometime think, how easy was that to do and in the meantime you try to think what they will think of next.

I was just mentioning corey because 15 years ago who in here had a party, and how many of you now are earning $40000 a month.

hence simple things, and with blair I meant the filming and hype technique.

how many people have played with their macs and thort - here you go people will like this.

Nearly every time I use it... however, I wasn't the one to think of creating this video, and neither were you.

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. Not sure how you can compare a petulant teenager (and possibly his parents) cashing in on ill-gotten notoriety, exploiting the tabloid reading, BB watching, masses with a creative mind, putting something cool together and a few interweb citizens enjoying his work while not being exploited or falling for the latest media frenzy.

And don't get me started on your spelling! Who was the last BB evictee, anyway?

i try but love writing things differently. sorry.

I am not comparing, just saying, everything simple that you may say at home, nah, no one will get it and then someone does it and bang you go - I thort (good way to spell that) of that.

I thought of doing something like blair witch and didn't think it would work, well, low and behold. I lived near a 400 hectare national park.

anyways, great clip, good luck to him, but what's next on the horizon.

That's brilliant. Thanks for posting.

The maker should bring it to the attention of Apple. He could make a lot of money off his creativity and talent, not just through that ad, he might even land himself a job at Apple. The ad suits the company to a tee, imho.
