I was due to have a new ADSL2+ service provisioned on Friday(2 days ago).

I got home from work and found that I had sync, wooties. Hadn't recieved a notification sms from netspace.

Anyway looks like the provisioning hasn't been completed because i can sync and connect but i can only surf to the netspace home page. All other browsing gets redirected to the netspace my accounts page.

I can login on my account and i get this message:
Your account is currently inactive.
Account Status Details
Your account has expired.
What to do to get back online:
Please contact Netspace Accounts for assistance.

I have contacted the helpdesk on friday and today and they seem to think that I should just wait for the sms to come through. Its a real pain because I can see that i have sync and connection and the issue is obviously something at the accounts configuration end. bit of a shame because i have been waiting about a month for this(rural zone 2 will do that to ya).

Anyway thats my tale of woe, cross fingers that something gets fixed today.

Just an update. 3rd time lucky. Got onto a good operator who fixed it up no problems. For those who want to know sync is at around 14500 and speed and stability seem fine. Blasted a fair bit of frostwire last night along with my 18 month backlog of windows updates and steam updates along with a massive amount of assorted other patches....yes i have been overseas and the computer has been sitting in a cupboard the whole time, waste of a good 7950gt really.

So what did the issue end up being?
I too am waiting for my ADSL2+ (also a rural connection). I put in my upgrade application in late March and got an sms saying it would happen on Thurs May 8th. Then it didnt occur and so I called and they said that they needed my Telstra account number which I provided for them when I called them to ask why my connection would take nearing 6 weeks. Then they saw that I had already provided the account number and got a new sms yesterday (Mon 12) saying connection is schedualed for Wed 14th.
So hopefully it occurs tomorow as they have billed me twice already for ADSL2 (which they are investigating).

The issue is that they expire the account at cutover date and await a response from the wholesaler before they set it up. As it stands I dont think the account is provisioned correctly. I get the feeling they just moved the expiry a week in the hope that the wholesaler passes it back within that time.

Just gotta keep at em until they get it sorted.

I'd fill out a complaint form from the Netspace website. Not so much for the complaint, but so the problem you had gets recorded and they can TRY and improve.

It's completely stupid if they already had the info they needed. There's no excuse for that. You also don't know if it was used to buy some time.

Hah.
Got an sms today.
Congratulations you are live with Netspace!
Pffft. I guess I am if you count the ADSL plan is still my 512 plan and not ADSL2+ which I am waiting for.

Well I guess something is happening as I now have no ADSL. It got disconnected from midnight last night. Hopefully my ADSL2+ gets connected today.
EDIT: Yay, got home from work and ADSL2+ is running.
