Hey...
Is there a 'legitimate' Skype client for Nokia N95 without using Fring/iSkoot etc?
Cheers.

What do you mean by "legitimate"? Nok don't produce their own ASAIK as they push gizmovoip.

Mr Rip Curl writes... What do you mean by "legitimate"? Nok don't produce their own ASAIK as they push gizmovoip. Legitimate meaning from Skype and not a third-party app I think. I have a N81 and my wife has an E51 and the N81 has a Nokia VOIP client and I downloaded the Nokia VOIP client for the E51. I didn't see anything about Gizmo VOIP on the Nokia site?
Is that Skype for Symbian linked a couple of posts above a new thing? I was looking around a few months ago for a Skype client, couldn't find one and ended up using Fring.

Thanks for your help guys. I tried out the link that newname24 left... downloaded and ran just fine on the N95 - only prob is - it doesn't seem to support outgoing video calls without Skype credits.
(Which is strange, given I can access it using my WiFi - so why the need for credits is beyond me?!)
Thanks anyway.

im a current 3 mobile customer and considering changing to optus (for a number of reasons).
only q i have is, with the nokia n95 if i load the skype client how does it usage get charged? is it standard MB's per month on the "data" plans? i know '3' had a special 'skype' plan... which nobody else has --- is this correct?
using skype on a n95 on say, an optus $49 cap plan, would mean buying additional 'data' hours each month for skype/data traffic.
also, whats a typical skype bandwidth, say 10 min each day x 30 days, 300 mins = XX megabytes? (assume voice only). thanks!
