Hey guys,

I'm currently using uTorreent 1.7.7.
I'm wondering how I might be able to get a green triangle. I keep getting a damned yellow one.

I have KiS 7.0.1.321 I'm not sure if uTorrent is enabled in it (kind of a newb there..)

Also, was just wondering how I might find a port that is best suited to me (also a newb there) and any other configurations I might be able to use to get a green triangle and optimise my downloading experience.

I'm sick of only getting a 15kB/s - 35kB/s download speed.
I have a 8Mbit/1.5Mbit connection (around 480kB/s D/L speed on average - not including uTorrent obviously : >) and my upload speed is set at a stingy 27kB/s.
Also I am with Internode.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers.
Paul.

Yep.

Just go to Portforward.com and look up a guide there. They are pretty easy to set up, and once you get it sorted, you will laugh at how easy it was.

What operating system are you using? Vista or XP? Let me know I can hopefully help you out if your on Vista.

Vista even with port forwarding will not get the green triangle, unless you set some IP filters through your router and your firewall (if any).

XP is relatively easy to get an open port/connection by following the guides on portforward.com.

whirlpool.net.au/wiki/?t...Forwarding%20FAQ

Read the manual that came with your router, especially the sections that deal with DHCP and PortForwarding/Virtual Server.

dos prompt ipconfig /all forward to the IP on top of subnet mask.

You missed this gem from the stickies.
