After what was frankly a terrible experience with Netspace's home phone service (mostly due to poor customer service) I had decided to switch my provider back to Telstra mid March.
On the 21st of April I received an invoice from Netspace for my phone with a rental charge taking me up to the 28th of April. On the same day I also received a Telstra bill with line rental starting on the 4th of April, so by the look of it this is the day my service switched to them.
Obviously there are quite a few days there that Netspace has charged me rental for that I believe I shouldn't have been charged for.
I've sent a couple of e-mails (support ticket #2635264) with no response and have tried calling a few times but haven't had the time to wait longer than a half an hour on the phone.
My original plan was to send a written complaint to Netspace and allow them time to respond before taking the complaint to the TIO but I have decided to post this thread and leave it for a couple of days in the hopes that a rep might notice it and respond.
If anyone has any pertinent links or information that would help explain why Netspace has charged me for the same service Telstra has, I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Thanks!

Hi Angel Of Chaos,
In most cases, when you churn away from a provider, a final bill will be generated for the usage up to the date your new service will be taking over.
I will have a look into your account and get back to you shortly with more details.
Thanks, Catherine

Thank you Catherine. I got an e-mail this morning from Telstra that says they took over my service on the 16th of this month rather than the 4th as it is stated on my bill from them, so I'll need to chase them up about that also. That still leaves 12 days (between the 16th and 28th) that Netspace has charged me rental for that I believe I shouldn't have been. Once again, thank you for looking into this for me.
*edit* Just got off the phone with a girl at Telstra who says that she's not sure where the sender of the e-mail I received this morning got their information but the service definitely reverted back to Telstra on the 4th of April (not the 16th as the email I received claimed), which brings us back to around 24 days of rental I'd like to dispute. I will submit this information on my support ticket when I get home this afternoon.

Jess left me a message to let me know that Netspace has organised a refund for me, I'm happy with the amount. Thanks for taking care of this for me Catherine :)

My case is abit funny: I have ben using direct debit for probably more than 14 years, but today I've received a letter from Netspace saying I own them some money.
They have deducted my Visa account w/o asking me anything about that, right 99.9% (0.1% wrong which I did complain) - but now ? Who knows their accounting system.

I've had a number of charging issues with Netspace, all to do with their home phone service. Part of the reason I've swapped back to Telstra.
