DrayTek 2820Vn Blocking UDP Issue |

Hi There,
We don't want to use the DrayTek 2820Vn built in VOIP functionality. Instead, we have an Epygi Quadro 4x4 for VOIP. We only want the DrayTek either for routing or bridging.
1. We couldn't get the DrayTek working in "bridge" mode. We have Internode ADSL2+ and either
a) do not want the DrayTek logging in PPPOE/PPPOA, but passing the data to the Epygi to do that so the Epygi does all the NAT/routing for the network. I think this is called a transparent bridge. There was some settings about RFC1483 Bridged/Routed LLC, but couldn't make sense of it because the documentation is very brief.
Or b) The DrayTek logs in (PPPOE/PPPOA) and passes Internode's DHCP to the Epygi which uses a DHCP client to directly connect to the Internet (with a public IP etc) just like plugging into an ethernet network.
2. So instead we connected to Internode using PPPOE/PPPOA on the DrayTek. The DrayTek ran NAT and a DHCP server. The Epygi box ran a DHCP client with the DrayTek as it's gateway. We port forwarded 5060 and 6000-6099 from the DrayTek to the Epygi and added the Epygi's IP to the DMZ of the DrayTek just to be sure.
The Epygi could register with a SIP server but not make any outgoing calls. We tried with X-Lite softphone behind the DrayTek with the same result. I suspect the DrayTek is blocking UDP traffic but couldn't find anything to this in the settings.
We are looking to change router because of this issue. Please advise.

You bought a +$500 adsl voip router to do the work of what a $40 adsl router could do?

I didn't buy it :P I want to try different configurations since VOIP traffic wasn't working.

Update your firmware to 3.2.1RC2. That, sorta fixes Voip, a bit. :)

Are using ethernet Port 1 to connect the Epygi? Have you tried connecting to a different ethernet port? Port 1 is the gigabit port, whilst 2-4 are only 100M. There are some issues with Port 1 on the 2820 which block certain protocols, IPTV notably, which uses a PVC and UDP port 1234. Just a wild shot, but it could be related.

I discovered there's a RC3 of the firmware so I emailed Draytek Aus, they said they didn't have it and would see if they could get it. I love how I have to tell them.
I don't know what it fixes and I figured there was no point asking Draytek Aus.

If you get it, can you let me know? I'm hoping it might fix my WM6 problem.
