Have you switch on your blackberry service with the provider?
If your doing Blackberry Internet service then once you activated your blackberry service go on the web to set up your mail addys and then download the service books.

If your using blackberry Enterprise Service BES you need to set up blackbery connect on the phone then on the work PC connected to the corprate network using blackberry connect desktop manager. to activate push email.
You will find once blackberry is on you will not be able to send MMS unless you trun blackberry off. you will also loose battery power. I have the E65 and swapped to a pearl. Blackberry only works for email on Nokia and you can not browse the web under blackberry.

Before you begin ensure you have a Blackberry plan added to your phone account. Depending on the type of Blackberry Service you want to use you will need to ensure you have the correct plan (e.g. BIS or BES)

Anybody heard of any issues with installing blackberry client on the Nokia E51?

I got setup on the enterprise server and then installed the software on my phone. After activation the phone locked (showing a padlock logo).

It asked for a lock code. Considering I never selected one in the first place I found that amusing.

Called my network supplier and they went about resetting this code. Tried their reset code and it failed as well.

Wish I never did it now.

Interested to hear if anybody else has the same problem.

:(

Further to this

Nokia care upgraded my software

I re-installed the client

Input the server info login and pass

It all works fine now

Nice
