As the heading states, where?
I've been looking through various shops such as JB-HiFi, EB, GAME, Harvey Normans in my area and they don't have them. eBay has a few but the prices appear to be skyrocketing soon. Amazon have them listed but they don't ship to Australia anyways for the gun. And so the big question, where can they be found (I'm sure there are others too that are looking for this gun)?
Cheers.

It doesn't help you out much, but I saw one on the shelf at EB Edwardstown - Adelaide on Saturday. You could ask in your local store if they could ship it from interstate???

You're kidding right? Surely you would've bought one if you'd seen one. They fetch for over $US50 on eBay! The demand for them is absolutely insane, they're impossible to come by these days, sold out everywhere in the USA and have been on backorder forever.

As for getting them in Australia, seems impossible.
Nobody but nobody stocks them.

Have heard two people say that they're being sold at EB Games but I've never seen any myself, nor have I heard of people who actually bought one there.

Are you sure it's the real NYKO Perfect Shot, not just some knock-off?

Pretty sure it was the NYKO. I wasn't buying stuff for the Wii, and didn't know they were that hard to come by. If I did, I would have grabbed it. Next time I swing past there, I'll go in and ask.

I be willing to bet you just saw a "Wii-Qualiser" or one of the other vaguely pistol shaped gun cradles.

EB tend to have stock tracking for all their stores in the computer (at least within that state or capital city) and I have gotten them to look it up and they found nothing. When I mentioned the supposed "EB sightings" that keep getting reported they were dubious to say the least about those.

I have been trying to get a hold of this gun for almost 2 months now (here and through friends in the US) and have finally given up and just ordered a pair of ebay knock-offs so that I can at least use something for HOTD (besides the stupid zapper).

I am pretty pissed at NYKO for making a great product but then choking the supply of them, not to mention the utter lack of any proper Aust distribution in the in first place :(

Figures though, first I had to wait to get a Wii ... then wait some more to get a second remote ... now wait who knows how long for decent peripherals ... don't even get me started on Aust release dates for the games themselves O.o

Nintendo Wii? More like Nintendo Waiit :P

Someone posted a thread but it was taken off for being spam.

Don't know why though, because its not really spam.
Maybe it should have been posted in this thread instead of a new one.

But I think a link to the ebay page is still a good idea, as it does in a way give an answer to the question posed by the OP. (If I am wrong please explain how so)

But that's not a buy it now price, just the auction start starting price. I was lucky enough to snag 2 at $19.99. However, shipping for the two is $19.90! So what I'm doing is getting an extra remote and nunchuk to bump the price to just over $100. That way I'll qualify for 50% off shipping with the coupon code HFS762. Roughly $125US for remote, nunchuk & 2 guns delivered isn't too bad. Just waiting for them to fix up my order before I make payment.

Looks like Vista Products is the cheapest place, postage to Australia is approx US$20 I think.

The eBay prices are absolutely outrageous -- $50 or more including delivery. NYKO could be making an absolute killing if only they sold their stuff overseas!

I'm considering ordering one from Vista Products, but I don't know if a chunk of plastic, albeit very well-designed, is worth that much money.

I've tried Ghost Squad with a cheapie Wii Remote gun case (that has a trigger) that cost me $12 from eBay delivered and it really isn't accurate at all with the calibration and crosshairs off. I don't know what the reviewers were doing, but my aiming goes all over the place and it's just not possible to play the game well without crosshairs.

I was lucky when Vista Products first posted them they were $19.99 but soone after went upto $27.99 or something like that, I payed $19.99 plus $8.95 Postage and $2.85 Insurance
TOTAL $31.79..... I was happy with that price after seeing some go for over $70 including postage on Ebay

Yeah most lightguns/gun shells are much bigger than a real pistol would ever be. They are usually much lighter than a real pistol though -- real ones usually weigh around 800g to 1.1kg fully loaded.

Thanks for the tip Desmondp -- do you find that the gun actually hits where you aim with the sight, or do you need to estimate and "walk your fire" towards the targets?

I've been using a cheap yumcha gun shell (not the Nyko) and I find that the sights just don't work properly. I've got my sensor bar at the bottom of the TV, so I'll try putting it at the top.

I also have problems calibrating in Ghost Squad, for some reason it won't register my shots during the calibration.

Just would like to add that today I walked into EB Games at Liverpool, NSW and saw on the shelf, the elusive Nyko Perfect Shot. I just couldn't believe, I was only there to check out some other items. There were 3 on display, no sure if there are any more in stock but I gladly picked up 2. So there is at least 1 left as of this afternoon.

There were priced at $29.95. And after some Ghost Squad and House Of the Dead, the gun is amazing. The trigger is responsive and the shooting is really accurate. The only downside is that I had to take of the jacket in order to placed the gun in, and it wouldn't fit securely unless I take off the wrist strap. Other than that, it's a great looking gun.

What games would you use it on? Would it work on redsteel mp? The links cross bow thing doesn't work as when you pick up guns you need to shake both the wii-mote and the nunchuck. I like redsteel for the mp otherwise I would sell it.

I picked one up the other day and it's pretty good. It's the only Wii gun I've used though and I can't compare it to anything else, but it sure looks to be crap loads better than the zapper and other 3rd party ones I've seen on the shelf.

It's been great fun to use with Ghost Squad and I've been digging it for sure. I'm really keen to pick up a copy of Umbrella Chronicles to try out with it now. The gun isn't without its flaws though.

The gripes:
The handle would probably be too short for people with fairly large hands and/or chunky fingers. My hand JUST gets away with fitting it okay, but a bit more room on the handle would have been nice.

The handle is very light and hollow and makes the pistol feel top heavy and unbalanced. I pretty much forget about it after playing for a while, but I reckon it would be nice to have more weight in the handle. I think I'm gonna open it up and fill the handle with something to give it more weight if possible. Anyone done this and/or know any tips?

There's no sight at the tip of the gun, only at the base. This is a really stupid omission and is another thing that I'm considering modding myself, so again, any tips would be cool.

I still recommend it as long as your hands aren't too big to comfortably use it. Even then, it might still be the best option out there, but I'm not sure.

Hey yeah, you're right! I never noticed this myself, and now I'm glad I haven't bought one. Seriously, the price you have to pay for one is a rip-off considering it doesn't even have proper sights.

How can everyone be raving on about how accurate it is in games like Ghost Squad and House of the Dead if there's not even any sights you can use properly?

I have a $12 yumcha gun shell I bought from eBay which is pretty much the same as the NYKO Perfect Shot, and it doesn't have a front sight either. This annoys the hell out of me, how are you supposed to aim accurately without a front sight?

Thanks for your mini review Johnny, it mentions the flaws that nobody else seems to have mentioned.

From what I gather, the NYKO Perfect Shot has a very good trigger spring, which makes it easy to pull the trigger fast and repeatedly, unlike all the other gun shells. Also, you can hook up the nunchuck, which you can't do with a lot of cheapie gun shells.

Apart from that, there are no real other advantages, but then again, what can we expect from a chunk of plastic?

I've found if I use it with two hands (i.e. without the nunchuk attached) then it makes shooting games feel heaps cooler, and probably a fair bit more accurate than just using the remote. If I'm using it one-handed with the nunchuk attached I reckon I'd be more accurate without it.

Another thing is, it's a bit annoying when you have to use the A button or the d-pad in Ghost Squad or Umbrella Chronicles since you have to use your other hand to press them.

So all in all im only semi-happy with this order, got the items in 14 days which means that he DID NOT have them in stock as he claimed (cause he only lives 1 hour away) and I did not get the brand of product that i expected, but i cant complain too much i did get the items, so i gave him a neutral feedback.

They seem to be alot less rare now all the stores I have been to in Newcastle have them in stock, whereas two months ago they didn't.
