Hi, just wondering if there are any places within Internode's free quota sites that have any High Definition content.

I did a search but wasn't able to find anything on the topic.

Hi HSV Guy,

I'm not aware of any of their 'Cool Content' that has any HD content yet. I've had a bit of a hunt around and can't find any quickly.

Depending on what you want it for (eg just something to test a shiney new TV) you could use Azureus Vuze? It has a media gallery which does include some good quality clips. Some are SD, some HD and some full HD. They will count in your quota and are big.

Sorry not more helpful, but I don't think Node has this sort of content yet.

James

Yeah I downloaded a clip from there, but they're pretty hefty d/l's. Would be nice if Node could mirror them - not sure if Microsoft would let them though

I too would like to find some HD content like movie trailers but have them in the same formats as HD-DVD or Blue-Ray (VC1 and/or H264 AVC encoded at the same high bitrates) so i can test the files on my machines to make sure HD movies will work without issue, only then would I fork out for the drive.
Any links?

Most of apples trailers you can get in HD now 1080p.... not sure what codec they use but i'd be guessing h264.

Or you can check newsgroups to find some x264 'samples'.

Or Check Microsoft get some HD WMV clips from them.

None of these are free - but hey you gotta use your quota for something :)

Any updates? I want to test out a new 52" Samsung TV and I'd rather not waste too much bandwidth.

I don't mind if its a game trailer or something as long as its: decent length, very high quality and free quota.

For what? Free HD porn? :)

Unless content is supplied from un-metered sources (like the games mirror) the answer is going to be no.

I was hoping for a video from one of the unmetered sources. That's why I said game trailers are fine as long as they are a decent length (> 3min).

Select media as the file type [right hand side] and then search for "HD" in the File Information section.

That'll give you more than enough to choose from.

HD game videos are normally 720p, not 1080p, but they'll still look stunning (I assume you want to show off a new TV or some such?) I'd suggest the Mirror's Edge trailers – they look fantastic. http://games.internode.on.net/filelist.php?app=2621&menu=14

This one is apparently 1080p:
