They are silver LOL.
I'm sure there 2+ splitter is just as good as C10 and Telequip 2+ splitters :)
See the Wiki above.
2+ filters come into there own if your close to your exchange <1km and getting high line speeds otherwise not so important IMO.

Unique circuit design.
Designed from the ground-up to ADSL2+ AS/ACIF S041:2005

The fact that they are marketed in a number of colours, have a unique circuit design and are SO41 compliant makes these filters "special" (or a least different), but there is no evidence that they are better than other filters on the market in terms of filtering ADSL.

the price in warcom is quite reasonable.
though I was wondering why warcom can sell it cheaper than buying it "Factory-direct". :D

Because Retail price control is illegal. There is a Recommended Retail Price and in order not to upset retailers the factory sells at RRP. A reseller balances price against sales volume.

Peter from ACS writes... Never recommended by Martin Merewether :)
The fact is there is no objective evidence of practical benefit of ACS filters compared to other manufacturers' filters. If there was evidence, recommendation might be possible. In the absence of evidence they are no better, and no worse, than other filter products.
So there is nothing to suggest that they be used instead of other filters in the marketplace apart from their colour, their brand building campaign through WP, their SO41 compliance and their support from ACS retailers.

They actually sound like pretty good reasons to me, especially as we have some sort of support for them right here on WP and feedback from users here carries more weight with me than anything else atm.
The different colours could also be a selling point for some....
Do any other filter sellers have a rep on WP?....I thought not....:)

LSE filters from Billion are fine. There are many people who tested Telequip against ACS, and again found no difference.

I installed one of the ACS filters, and it decreased my Att by a fair bit, exact number escapes me, but somewhere between 4-7db. (Could have been a coincidence. As I got a new modem at the same time. But I tried old filters new modem, and the att went lower, then added the ACS filters, and it went lower again.)
My old filters are the same ones I got when I first got ADSL about 5-6 years ago. So I can't compare them to a brand new one from another brand. But for me they were well worth it.
