I am using Azures 2.5.0.0

In Tools\Options, I have set Global Upload speed to 25 KB/s. I can quit Azures and when I start it again, it still says 25 KB/s. Trouble is, when I download a new torrent file and start it, it seems to ignore this setting and just uses 0 (unlimited). Is there something else I need to do?

Set your your upload to about 20kbs.

So you are saying when you downlaod a file your UPLOAD goes back up to 0 (unlimited)?

DID you remember to click the 'save' button (bottom left corner) after you set your speed in the Options menu?

In the bottom right hand corner of azureus window , it shows your transfer rate , up / down you can also right click on those figures and manually set it from there.

Probably one of three things, you have Auto Speed plugin active or the Speed Scheduler or you haven't saved the preferences.

Another possibility is that the settings are not being saved correctly in the Azureus folder located in the Application Data folder.

I just checked, and it is not any of these things. The settings have been saved, and when I restart Azures, the defaults I have changed are clearly visible and active in the options pages, however when I open a new torrent file (from scratch), it does not get the defaults applied, but instead has unlimited upload speed
