I'm looking for a dock for my car a BA Falcon. It currently has the auxiliary input, so connecting the ipod is not a drama. However want somewhere to rest the ipod..

Any ideas? Don't want something for the cup holders, as it would mean a cable would run over the gearshift etc..

I'm just thinking about the wires though casue it might become a little messy....you could possibly run wires under the console, from the cup holder to the audio in thats under your radio, so they are all hidden. (with a little modification anyways)

ill try and do a diagram

arm rest gear stick centre console/audio in

Is it a full size iPod, or the smaller nano? If it is the nano you can buy a mobile phone holder that clips into the air vents on the car's dashboard. They cost about $5 from any auto store and will keep it nicely out of the way.
