Senior members of the ALP. They were caught singing Little Johnny a Christmas Carol outside parliament last year.

I dunno, they did write I Rooted A Girl Who Rooted A Guy Who Rooted A Girl Who Rooted A Guy Who Rooted A Girl Who Rooted Shane Crawford amongst many other footy songs but then again, Ron (Hitler) Barassi is a member :-).

Not one of TISM is short enough to be Paul McD.

Plus, they all took their masks off at a gig once :)

LOL! At these TISM rumours still floating around.

Anyway they broke up after that White Albun DVD/CD release.

There last Grand Final Eve concert was back in 2003. Correct me if I am wrong?!?!?

The funny thing is when they started out.....everyone said they were The Painters and Dockers. Then people were saying they had members of Regurgitator. In there twilight years.....the rumours were Machine Gun Fellatio. pppppppppfffffffffffttttttttt

The only thing I know is having seen Ronald Hitler Barassi unmasked over 20 times.....he is not a known celebrity.

I have also heard that they are either senior members of the public service/university or in the legal profession.

There was one member of TISM that married into Christopher Skase's family. So when Jock Cheese wrote "Totally Addicted To Skase" he had to release it on his solo CD. I remember it was reported in the newspapers at the time.

This Is Serious, Mum.

I've heard that TISM doesn't have permanent members as such, and have had dozens of members over its history. I'm not even sure if Ron Hitler Barassi has been the same bloke all the way through TISM's life.

I think this whole shroud of mystery adds to TISM, as if their biting social satire isn't cool enough in its own right.

I think Ron Hitler Barassi and Humphrey B Flaubert are the same, even if the other members changed.

The voices are absolutely unmistakable, and the lyrical style on spoken word numbers from early albums ('Great trucking songs of the Renassaince') is indentical to that of later spoken word offerings from the late 90's.

I agree. I was at that gig on Punter's closing night. Best TISM gig of the 5 I have been to.

For those that didn't go here's a page with pics from the night: www.geocities.com/tismse...unters-ms45.html

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TISM

Once appeared at a club which had two stages, the crowd gathered in front of the main stage only to see TISM appear on the minor stage. The crowd rushed over to see them and after a few songs, switched stages again. This happened numerous times during the night, with the crowd rushing from one stage to the other in order to be in the front. The last song of the night was played by two bands, one on each stage, everyone masked and playing two completely different songs at the same time.

Hehe..

An old gag.

To which you could retort by saying "You come up with something better, F-Face".

Not sure about the memebers but I remember them asking Peter Reith if he wanted to join the band and play triangle and Paul Keeting to play the tambourine.
