Speaking of butter, I *have* heard of a dessert made from a slab of frozen butter (about half inch thick, 2" by 2" square), deep fried in a thick cake-like batter, then removed from oil before it completely melts and served in a dish with maple syrup. |

actually a lot of restaurants like the one I work at usually deep fry the meat(for example sweet and sour pork) once, and then deep fry it again later just before serving it to make it crispy. double deep frying is used a lot to make things crispier than you could do at home only frying it once. |
