I can't belive that nobody has mentioned www.allmusic.com <== this is the site for music. If you wonder about something - you'll find the answer there. also, www.musicplasma.com is a great site. It gives you a graphical representation or 'map' of artists that you are likely to enjoy listening to, based on your entering one of your favourite artists. It's a bit bandwith heavy, but it has lead me to discover a couple of good bands.
