Well it seems my bigpond cable account has been moved to Telstra's new billing system.

A "pretty" new bill, where they are telling me they want to "save the planet" and I should move to a "paperless bill". LOL. I have no interest in increasing their profit by going "paperless"!

A new account number, and a new "BPAY" Biller code. Its no wonder they are running late with this system. The Bpay Biller code is to "Telstra COPR Ltd".

Seems they can't even abbreviate "CORP" correctly. Or maybe thats where all their stolen "copper" wire has gone :)

I dread to think what else is lurking in the coming months with this new billing system :(

They outsource thier printing to a third party, so if you go paperless it will save them heaps, or more or less if many people do go paperless.

I work for bigpond, and have been "trained"-if you call 3 days of bulldust and extremely confusing info thrown at you- in the new billing and activations system,we all felt like dears in the headlights of an oncoming truck.....the new billing system is so hard and confusing for the people who work for bigpond, we voiced our opinions to the traininer and management and advised them we feel sorry for the customers who call in, as what we used to be able to do in 3-5 minutes will now take approx 15-45 minutes because bigpond's new billing and activation system all rolled into one is just so complex and confusing......the customer will suffer huge delays and very poor service..............of course managements response was we have taught you,you know what to do,so do it..........
with long calls due to the new system, the call flow will suffer major traffic jams, with customers waiting lone times, and in the end what they called for will most likely not be dealt with correctly because of the complexity of the new billing and activation system
