Ok. Now I'm trying to solve the IPTV problem i'm experiencing.

The IPTV worked fine with my old pc -AMD 6000+, GA-M57SLI, 8800GT. But ever since I've got new pc – e8400, EP45-DS3, 9800GTX – I can only watch the first channel whichever was selected initially.

If I try to change the channel, the system's stuck at waiting for iptv stream.. and slows the system down a little bit.

I've worked with IPTV support and tried everything.

So now, I'm wondering if this problem is caused by the mobo, EP45 has 2 network adapters.

Anyone using EP45?

I'm not using that exact mobo, but do have 2x ethernet onboard, and I choose to bridge the two and assign a single address for the bridge.

However, as long as it's configured properly you shouldn't get any problems from dual ethernet.
Your router should just assign each adaptor an address.

What OS are you using?

Hi there, what modem have you got? Are you sure you configured it properly.

Here's my recommended steps:
1. Install the latest Nvidia driver for your 9800GTX. And of course the latest drivers for your motherboard.
2. Install the latest version of VLC player (make sure when you install you tick the mozilla plugin). Try using Firefox, it should work.
3. Unblock Firefox or disable the firewall.
4. Disabled IPV6.
5. Try either ethernet port...if not try bridging (though should work)

I've seen this happening due to a damage IGMP proxy ...

However here, I would try to just disable the Windows firewall...

Have you tried using VLC directly and not TPG site?
In VLC go into play network
select http and enter:
http://avenard.org/iptv/playlist-tpg-vlc.m3u

Try watching the channels again.

Often I found that rather than changing channels, you're better off pressing STOP then click on another channel. Which faster to change channel that way

i've gone thru these basic steps with TPG IPTV Support.
That's why I am suspecting the EP45.. The only difference between the old and new pc.. I can think of is the mobo..

I have a Gigabyte GA-P45-DS3P motherboard, and I have no issue there..

Can't see how a motherboard would prevent IPTV to work. makes no sense

pc 1 – AMD64 6000+, GA-M57, 8800GT, Vista 64 SP1
pc 2 – E8400, EP45, 9800GTX, Vista 64 SP1
notebook – Centrino 1.7, XP SP3

pc1 and notebook doesn't have any problem with IPTV but only pc 2 have this problem.

so it can't be the os issue, nor the modem configuration.

Then the only remaining possible cause is the pc itself. but i think E8400 can't be the issue since there might be 1000s of users using E8400 and have no problem.

Then.. it can be either the video card or the mobo (with 2 onboard network ports).

Not so, each installation of a given OS has it's own issues/quirks. It might be the same OS on 2 different PC's, but the combination of drivers, software, registry entries, (and yes, hardware), makes them behave differently.

I have 2 PC's with same mb, cpu, gpu, raid/hdd's, p/s, optical drive, DTV card... and each time I re-install the OS on one of them I get something slightly different than before. Sometimes software that ran on the previous install and is currently running on the other PC won't run on the new OS installation (or has annoying quirks like you've described). So a glitch like that channel problem with IPTV is not totally unexpected
Also 6 of the PC's I maintain are identical, even with the OS+software installed from a ghost image each one runs differently.

While the other PC and notebook make it less likely that the router is the cause, I don't think you can rule out OS (infact I think it's the most likely cause), I'm just sorry I can't tell you what the problem is though.

Its VERY unlikely that your hardware has anything to do with this.

The software to translate the IPTV packets into video is fragile and flaky at the best of times, even under XP 32 bit, so I'd expect even more problems under Vista 64.

I would try uninstalling your video drivers, VLC and the IEXPLORER / Firefox plugins, downloading the latest versions and trying again.
