I have had next g with the new gateway for about 3 weeks now. Today when i turn my pc on the Bigpond connection client doesnt start and comes up with the following error message

Description:
Stopped working

Problem Signature 03: 487edc28
Problem Signature 04: System.Configuration

Problem Signature 09: IOIBMURHYNRXKW0ZXKYRVFN0BOYYUFOW

I have uninstalled the software and reinstalled it, still the same error. i have also turned the gateway off for a couple of minuets and turned it back on and that hasnt helped either.

I contacted bigpond, but they just told me to do what I had already done.

Any ideas on how to fix it would be great.

Thanks for your time.

You don't actually need to have the program installed, just uninstall it.

Yep, I have uninstalled it, just curious as to why after 3 weeks this happens today, also hoping its not my pc, just that program, but everything else seems fine.

AFAIK the CLR20r3 error is a common Microsoft .net error, how tofix, who knows, but appears to happen with a number of software according to google each bit as vague as the other if there is an actual fix for it.

Perhaps you could try this:-

1.Enter the Admin IP Address and Default Username/Password in your browser to check the Summary display.(info on underside of router)

2.Click Diagnostics/Diagnostics and view the display.

3.Click Diagnostics/System log then Configure System log to Debug/Debug and view the log. (disable log when done)

4.If that doesn't help or you can't be bothered with 1-3 above

5.Just press and hold (for 5 seconds) the reset button on the back of the unit then enter your username including the '@bigpond.com' and your password under NextG Settings and hit connect.

Note a hard reset is not the same as powering down the router.

I went the easy reset method, still the same though, i have also looked at the diagnostics and turned on debugging, so far no bugs. :(
