Over the past month i have been experienceing slow internet and constant dropouts that start at about 8:30pm AEST and go most of the night i have contacted mysoul and gone through so many tests with them. I was supposed to have a technician out 2 weeks ago and still no technician

this downstream rate is rediculous . It used to be around 8000|Kbps can anyone help

From what you have posted here, I would look at environmental / CPE areas first.

I assume you have done a FULL isolation test?

Do you have an alarm system?

Do you have a phone line hooked up to an Austar / Foxtel box?

If the problem is not pc or router based , and the lines etc have been checked and the prob is not there then really the only conclusion is that the problem stems from Soul .

If that is the case the problem being in Souls systems then they are in breach of their contractual obligations as the minimum speed that can be marketed to you as "adsl2+" speeds is 1.5M/b's : FACT!
So you would be within your rights to terminate the service as SOUL is in breach of their contract with you.

PIPMan, drop the settings for modulation mode down to G.992.3 ADSL2. I suspect the dodgy shit equipment being used by Soul cannot handle the extra juice for your connection. Moving down to this setting gets you decent enough speeds and also keeps your line reliable
