Rang aapt this evening to enquire about noise on my landline which I suspect was causing constant dropouts to my adsl2+ service all weekend. The phone was answered in seconds by a gentleman named Matt who did everything he could to assist me with my problem. He needed to conduct further tests on my line so he arranged to call me back when he had completed the tests. One hour later I received the call and was given advice on a possible fix. By this time, the line had improved and my connection was stable. It was refreshing to speak to someone who actually spoke English as a first language and was friendly and knowledgeable as well. Not to mention being called back when promised.
I just wanted to give some credit when credit was due.
Thanks Matt :)

I honestly don't know why theres so much hate for AAPT on these boards. I've been with them for close to three yars now. Never had a single problem with them. If ever I had to call them to ask for help I would always be answered in seconds.

It's usually because people come here when they have a problem, that usually why these forums are full of comments about why something is bad. most people never give credit when things are running fine, they just take it for granted.

So here's to good AAPT customer service, and lets hope that there are more reports of it!

If you haven't already, you might be able to ring in again, and ask to have Matt's manager e-mailed with your positive feedback.

That's refreshing to hear.
The only experience I've had with AAPT is watching my boss call their support and proceed to be left on hold for no less than 30 minutes...not just once but twice.
He does however still recommend them as an ISP as they have good plans and a good quality service. I'll be sure to check them out when I look around next time for a new ISP.

For a while (matter of fact a year), it was absolutely shocking. However, I had 2 requests in the last few months that were replied promptly and by friendly, competent people. So yes, here's some credit :)

I have to agree with Matt!
I have been a customer since they first started and have never had a problem.
Only this week I rang to change our phone number and re-connect broadband at our new house and it was all done in about 10 minutes.
I'm pleased to hear they seem to have got rid of the irritating mechanical woman who used to tell me "I can understand what you say" and never did and have gone back to a plain menu :o)
