Just wondering do Optus have free days like Bigpond?
Like on the last day of the billing period you get to download as much as you want or no?

I'm pretty sure Optus have never offered this.

A long time ago, in a Galaxy which was actually this one, Optus used to give you free days or bonus quota.. like christmas day or in February cos its a shorter month.

It's not a free day. It's a bug in the usage meter, which if you are shaped, will unshape you on the last day of the billing period.

It's only if you are on a liberty plan as well.

Several years back Optus gave everyone on the cable plans whilst they were trialling the off peak data stuff about 3 months of unmetered/unlimited data.

Those were some really great months for downloads but alas when they got their act together the honeymoon was over.

It applied to DSL as well... and it was only for the Unlimited* and Unlimited* Pro plans (on both DSL and Cable). It was between 2am and 8am every night... I think by the time they extended it to 2am to 9am they had introduced the concept of off-peak quota. Obviously this was still the precursor to it becoming midnight to midday.
