Hey guys, I've only recently signed up for Comcen/Spin. My service is working great as per my other threads, but when I log into my account via the Spin site, I can't check my current Plan usage and such. This is what I have under Service Status.

Just wondering how you check your current usage, or how long it takes after signing up to be able to check your usage.

I'm not a spin/comcen customer (yet), but you can also download a usage checker plugin for firefox that works for spin/comcen (i think).

Yep, I was in the same situation a few weeks ago. Just whim one of the comcen reps and theyll fix it up for you. Alternatively ring accounts.

Well it looks like I've gone a fair amount over my usage limit (was finally able to check on the 21st)

However it looks like I've been placed on an Excess charge plan, rather than a shaped plan, which I find very confusing since under My Account it states I'm on a shaped plan.

Currently talking with the Accounts department via email.

I would just like to ask any of the Spin/Comcen customers on a NON-Shaped plan to see what it says under their My Account section.

Plan Name 60GB Shaped
Service Speed 24000/1000kbps
Peak Period Midday to 2am
Off-Peak Period 2am to Midday

How does it make sense to have a Shaped plan that charges excess fees?

I just checked my usage. It is 8401.36 MB and it is the 25th of the month. I've got a 40G limit so I better get started on the downloads!!!!!

On comcen I've never been able to get that close because of this speed issue, but most things still seem to go pretty fast from big hosts.
