Internode starts using Optus DSLAMs

2008-Mar-12, 11:45 am

IN BRIEF | Internode has launched its first broadband plans that use Optus DSLAM infrastructure, extending its ADSL2+ coverage to 350 exchanges.

The new plans are "naked", and are sold at a premium of $15 over Internode's existing ADSL2+ plans. This means there's essentially a $15 "line rental" fee, without the dial tone.

Internode managing director Simon Hackett said that Internode will shortly offer naked DSL on its own DSLAMs, and will eventually offer Optus-based services with a bundled phone plan as well.
