4Gig unless you are doing some heavy encoding.

That RAM is very good for the price.

Forget the CPU cooler if not OC'ing, I'll remove it.

It's the free release candidate, or you can pay for Vista that comes with a free upgrade to Win7 voucher.

still need more ideas

For gaming AMD is all you need...

best prices are usually MSY.

as for CPU coolers grab a Xigmatek S1283 or the slightly more expensive Noctua NH-U12P

Taken and edited from the Wiki

CPU: Intel Core i7 920 $390
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P $324
RAM: G.Skill-Trident 6G Kit(3x2G) DDR3-1600 $139
HDD: WD Caviar 640GB $88
GPU: 2 x 1GB ATi 4890 $556
Case: CM HAF932 $209
PSU: Seasonic PSR650+ $158
Optical Drive: Pioneer 217 DVD-RW $37
CPU HSF: Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler (1366 version needed) $85

Total: $1,986

If you want to spend more you can always get a bigger PSU, get 2 GTX-275 instead, throw an SSD in (at the cost of a GPU perhaps), switch the case over to a Antec P183 ($251), buy a soundcard, more peripherals...the list goes on according to your needs and budget. Prices from MSY.
