O.P.

Hi

I'm at a friend right now trying to configure a machine for him.

I set a static dhcp entry for his pc,, so it always gets assign the same IP address.

On the billion 7402, you enter the name of the host, the IP address you want and the mac address. So far so good

However, the name of the host isn't resolved by the build-in DNS server.

I've looked everywhere in the web interface and the CLI .. I can't seem to find this option.

I'm rather surprised that it wouldn't automatically resolve the name entered in the dhcp settings.

Is this something the billion can do ?

Thank you
Jean-Yves

That's because it doesn't have a dns server, it only does dns relay
